Amana and Goodman are now offering a" lifetime warranty" 99 years on their compressors . If the compressor fails not only will they replace the compressor they will replace the whole outdoor unit (this is unheard of and it gets better). The parts and labor are covered for 10 years! All furnaces carry a lifetime on the heat exchanger with furnace replacement if the heat exchanger were to fail in the first 10 years.
This is the best warranty offered in this industry today !
